Wisconsin Juniors Earn National Laurels

 

Congratulations are extended to Wisconsin junior, Kaila Wussow (pictured above) of Cecil for winning the 2017 National Jersey Youth Achievement Contest.

Several other Wisconsin juniors also fared well in the contest. Allison Foster of Portage placed sixth, Emma Olstad of Stoughton took eighth and Samantha Schuessler of Antigo placed ninth.

Wisconsin youth also earned several scholarships presented by the American Jersey Cattle Association. Morgan Randall of Madison received the organization’s largest scholarship, the Russell-Malnati Scholarship for Advanced Studies. She is in her fourth year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine with plans to graduate in May 2019. She plans to enter private practice and work exclusively with large animals.

Allison Foster received the V. L. Peterson Scholarship and Samantha Schuessler earned the AJCA Directors’ Scholarship.

All were recently honored at the Junior Banquet held in conjunction with All American festivities in Louisville, KY, in early November.
